There is a Christian saying that is often used to greet someone which is:
” Peace be with you”
And you might have heard it and kind of shrugged it off and went on with our busy life.
Now this I bring up because since I can remember I have heard this in church, maybe someone said it on the street but never really paid attention to the meaning.
And today as I have lived much longer and understand a little more about life and all the things that make us worry, this little phrase starts to make much more sense.
In these few words, we are reminded that we do not need to worry so much that God has got us and he will take care of things.
And you might say
“Well, that is easier said than done”
True, but in essence we need to make an effort to find peace in us, and find that joy of living in the moment.
And as I read a little more about the subjects related to finding peace I find that there are many studies, techniques and methodologies in our modern world that strive to search for us as humans to find the peace in us:
Call those techniques or teachings however you want, but at the root of it all is “finding peace”.
And how do you find peace when everything around you seems to be the opposite of being in peace.?
Well even though it might be hard for many of us, the word “faith” always comes to mind.
Faith that regardless of what happened in the past or what you think might happen in the future, it will be alright. I truly believe that this is what we are meant to do in life.
- Not worrying about the past or future and living here and now.
- Forgive others and most importantly, yourself and move on.
- Not worry about something that hasn’t happened. Finding the joy which is living in the present.
And as I understand much more these words:
” Peace be with you”
Is not a wish from the person saying it, it is an invitation to take ownership of your emotions and work to find your inner peace that will come through living in the present and enormous,
” Faith in God“
