Every day we are faced with decisions, some of them which are more impactful than others, like maybe saying yes to a particular job offer, sharing your life with someone or choosing that place to live in.
However, in order to be in a place where you can make big decisions, you must first go through those daily “small” decisions that start building that something that allows you to be in that place and time to take those big decisions.
So what type of decisions you might ask?
I’m referring to those ones that you might not think about because they are already ingrained in you that feel more natural.
Decisions such as:
- What you consume?
- How do you spend your time?
- What do you constantly think of?
Every day you take several of these decisions and if you ask yourself the question.
Am I making the right decision?
What would be your answer?
- Is what you eat and drink something that nurtures and provides you a healthy life?
- Is what you watch or listen to something that allows you to grow as a person?
- Is what you seek to feel a certain way a good thing for you?
Maybe you are so used to taking those daily small decisions that you are numb to the result even though it is harming you.
One of those daily decisions might have compounded to the point that you obtained a certain health condition due to your eating and drinking choices.
You might be constantly anxious or worried because you constantly feed your mind with information that only provides fear and worry.
You might be sharing your time with someone that is not looking to help you grow and is not good for you.
And if you peel back more and more on the many layers of the onion that is your life, those many layers of decisions get us where we are.
However the beauty is that today you have the opportunity to make different decisions and maybe feel more accomplished.
- Better decisions on what to eat or drink.
- Better decision on what to watch, listen or read.
- Better decision on who to share your time with.
The past is gone and the future will be the result of all the decisions you take today.
So if you know that the decision you are taking today is not the best one, why not have the courage to say NO and make the right one for you?
I know it’s not easy to make a different decision even though you know it is the right thing to do, however anything in life that is worthwhile takes work and effort, but the feeling of accomplishment outweighs any other feeling you will get staying where you are.
