Have you ever felt that things are well, but you feel that something is missing in your life?
Maybe you have material wealth or not, but you just can’t seem to get fulfilment with what you have.
Or maybe you are feeling that whatever you do, does not seem to go your way.
When things like that happen it might be signs that you need to take a step back and start finding what is meaningful to you.
Taking some time to be in silence and away from distractions. That might be gradually taking some time to be still with yourself and believe me that it takes time and effort to learn how to be still.
And as you do this more and more you will find that maybe some of your habits are holding you back or distracting you.
Maybe it is time to start tearing down some aspects of your life and eventually working on rebuilding.
When something is built on a weak or bad foundation, you will see the effects as time goes by and that result will be less than what you envisioned.
- Maybe it’s your health that is your struggle and you are conscious that your daily diet choices are not the best. Then it might be a good time to tear that part of your life?
- Maybe your relationship is struggling, and you are not seeing the growth as a human being. It might also be a good time to tear it down.
- Maybe your career path is stale or unfulfilling and you just can’t seem to get motivated to be the best at what you do. It might be a good time to tear that down also.
“Like these examples there are many more, but we tend to stick to the certainty and comfort of where we are and settle on being comfortably unhappy.”
There are so many examples in nature where things need to be torn down to grow much more.
Like when trees get pruned in order to grow bigger and stronger.
In my backyard we have a tree that if you see it now, big, strong, you would never know that about 10 years ago when it was still young it was stricken by a lighting bolt and basically cut in half.
My neighbor had it removed and was going to throw it away. But my wife and I saw that small piece of a tree with a few green leaves still showing life and we asked if we could have it.
That tree is now a gorgeous huge part of our backyard being it was torn down to basically nothing.
As in nature when either through our decision or some life changing event, we sometimes need to tear ourselves down to our essence.
It might be a part of our life that needs a tear down or it might be a little or much more.
Be sure that whatever you decide to tear it down, it’s a huge leap of faith, but that with consistency and hard work you can rebuild yourself to that strong individual you are meant to be.
