The Subtleness of God

When someone mentions God to you might think of that all-powerful being that makes his presence felt through events that are very impactful, you can almost say theatrical events that change you in that moment and that make you believe he exists because he demonstrates his power through those types of events.

And I think many people when searching for meaning, they are looking for those type of events to experience the presence of that all powerful being.

I see people trying to feel the manifestation through emotional sensations that sometimes seem to be more physically painful than anything else.

And as people keep searching for evidence that God exists up to a point of trying to hear a voice coming from the havens to say something specifically to you, there is a good chance it will not happen as you envision it.

Maybe you are looking for that manifestation through natural events such as thunder, lighting, wind, fire or other attention-grabbing events.

Now the issue is that God does not communicate with you that way.

He uses very subtle ways to let you know his presence.

And in order to listen to him you have to learn to be still and try to focus all your attention on him.

Maybe some people need a very impactful event to witness the presence of God, because these people have many things going on within them. There is a lot of noise or distractions that takes the focus away from what really matters in life and when faced with some challenge they are expecting that the response will be loud and impactful.

But what you should know is that God communicates with subtle messages most of the time, and when you take that time and start paying attention and learn to just be present in the moment, searching for moments of stillness and making an effort to be quiet and listen, you will notice many things.

You will feel sensations and thoughts that might think are coming from you, but they are more likely coming from him. And sometimes those thoughts are things that you don’t want to hear, but you know that they are the right thing.

Learning to be still and listen, discern and actually take those subtle messages and do something good with them is the path to getting to learn the truth about yourself and what God wants for you, which is always good.

When you let go and start to listen to those subtle messages you will start to see your life change in a good way and experience the true presence of God.

I’m not saying that God can’t present himself in impactful events, however, don’t ignore his constant messages through thoughts, physical sensations, smiles, tears, good things, bad things, which are more common than those great impactful events.

Everything you experience in a day is a work of God and there is always signs and messages from him, and no matter what you experience there is always a lesson to learn no matter how subtle it is.
