As we try our best every day to take the journey through this busy life and try our best to live with purpose and be happy, we all go through the struggle of finding moments of peace more often experiencing moments of continuous stress that does not allow us to have a few moments of peace.
And the more we are exposed to stress, we become more susceptible to many health deficiencies that in the long run can become more serious.
Many of us use a holiday or vacation to get away from the daily grind and to find a few days of relative peace to reset and energize ourselves and get back to our routine with more effort and that is fine and well,
But what if we were able to reproduce those feelings during our regular busy life?
When you are in those places far away from your normal stressful life and you feel peace and clarity in your mind you might feel that is the place you would like to be for the rest of your days.
But the reality is that you might need to go back to your regular hustle and bustle life and you might not be in that perfect spot where you can experience peace.
However there are ways that you can learn how to find some moments of peace and silence during your normal day that will help you enjoy your time much more.
Making a conscious effort to schedule some time for silence, prayer or meditation every day, will allow you to be emotionally much better. There are many people that practice having some time for themselves and see many benefits.
Some say that allocating 10% of your time to prayer or meditation allows you to live a happier life. And when you practice this you will be surprised at how you will have time for this and all your daily tasks.
Just think on how much this makes sense:
- Starting your day by removing clutter from your mind as you focus on your breath, being grateful and practicing to let go of emotions that are not worth holding on to.
- That primes you to allow you to focus on what you need to do during your day. Removing all those distractions in your mind that will not allow you to be efficient.
- It also prepares you to face challenges during the day and discern if it is worth deviating from your goal or letting go and keep your focus on the big picture.
Running our minds and bodies constantly without some type of rest will lead you to feel the burdens of life much more.
But if you consciously make it a practice to be still and just take some time to shut down for a few moments a day you will see a big difference.
You do not have to be in an exotic place to shut down for a few minutes or hours, you can learn how to reach those emotions of peace wherever you are but it all starts with your willingness to escape from your daily rituals for some time during your day.
So I encourage you to schedule some time every day to get away mentally and emotionally from your day to day and start to enjoy the many gifts provided to you in each moment of your life.
